I’m fascinated by character and place, particularly open landscape. I’m interested in how we interact with our environment, physically and emotionally, and by the experiences that shape us, and I find a wealth of material for my writing in the triumph, or not, of the human spirit.
Earlier work has been in a variety of guises; in estate agencies, hospitals, solicitors, offices, shops, hotels, the theatre, an arts centre; I have renovated four houses, and been a dressmaker, interviewer, waitress and chambermaid.
